A Sneak Peek Into Our Family Dinnertime Discussions

Dinnertime Discussions with The Wheaton Takeover

We eat dinner as a family with no electronic devices, no phones and no television. I’m a little lax in the summer or on the weekends and we’ll watch an episode of something like Black-ish or Fresh Off The Boat over dinner to break it up. About a year ago, The Glitter Princess decided to spice up our evenings with a Question Jar. She cleaned a jar, found a list of conversation starters questions, printed, cut up and put the dinner questions in the jar and her Dinnertime Confessions was born. Bigg Dogg and his dad frown a bit at question time (The Glitter Princess and I can be extra at times.), but they enjoy the questions as well.

Here’s a glimpse of our Dinnertime Confessions while we were on holiday in Greece. Please ignore my hair that not one of my family members managed to tell me was sticking all the way up. Yes, she managed to connect my phone to wifi at the restaurant and find a question. Bigg Dogg and the husband were the least bit amused, but scroll up to the part about she and I being extra.

And I kid you not, that was a mild discussion. But, as you can see the questions push everyone to share something outside of their normal day and give us a chance to connect after a long day at school and work.

The Glitter Princess and I scoured the world wide web and compiled a list of Dinnertime Confessions for you to share with your family.

Hugs and love,

Dee Dee
